Access the courses at no additional cost with a paid Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership or purchase the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass* on its own from Nintendo eShop. Courses* will release in 6 waves of 8 courses each from Mauntil the end of 2023. Speed through location-based courses like Paris Promenade and nostalgic classics like Coconut Mall*. A total of 48 courses from throughout the Mario Kart™ series are racing to the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game as paid DLC*. Courses include those based on real-world locations like Paris Promenade and Tokyo Blur from the Mario Kart Tour game in addition to nostalgic favorites like N64 Choco Mountain and Wii Coconut Mall! Not only does Wave 4 add a new track, but it also adds a new playable character in Birdo, further expanding the game's large roster of racers. 
It’s not the first new track to make its way to the game through the Booster Course Pass, as Sky-High Sundae was a new map added in Wave 2. This course features a volcano, clouds, and an underwater section. While it mainly consists of classic tracks from past games, Wave 4 also adds a brand-new track with Yoshi’s Island. Nintendo has shared the list of tracks featured in Wave 4 and confirmed that it will be released next week. We’re now onto Wave 4, which is adding another eight tracks to the arcade racer. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the best-selling game on the Switch, and Nintendo has continued to support the game with new content through the Booster Course Pass DLC.
